Branding: Why Being Yourself Matters

The digital age has completely revolutionized the way people relate to the products they buy and the brands they buy from. More and more, people are searching for and choosing authentic brands.

Everything about the way we brand is important now. People want authentic brands,   What we’re doing. How we do what we do. Why we do it.

I believe in authentic brands, and authentic brands start with the heart.

A good brand strategy is born out of character, then desires. I can’t get to the heart of your brand without getting into your head and evaluating you as a person.

This is especially the case for small business branding, where the operation hinges on less than a handful of people, maybe even one.

So, when I say tell me about yourself, what I’m asking for is:

  • Your passions.
  • Your desires.
  • Your fears.
  • Your reasoning.

It matters because it matters to your audience. They want to connect with you.
